What is the Immune Trio?

Kidney, thyroid and colostrum from organic grass-fed cattle in one bundle

The Immune Trio combines three of our products. Beef kidney is a natural source of vitamin B12, selenium and riboflavin. Half of each thyroid capsule is kidney and 30 % is liver, adding further vitamin B12. Colostrum is the cow’s first milk and is only collected once the calf has been fed.

Vitamin B12 and selenium contribute to the normal function of the immune system. All raw materials come from EU-certified organic pasture farming in Estonia, are freeze-dried and filled into capsules with no additives.

About the bundle

The Immune Trio consists of one tub each of Organic Beef Kidney Capsules, Organic Bovine Thyroid Capsules and Organic Bovine Colostrum Capsules. All three products are also available individually. In the bundle they are matched to a shared daily serving: 6 kidney capsules, 2 thyroid capsules and 6 colostrum capsules.

Vitamin B12 and selenium for the immune system

If you are looking for an immune system supplement, you will also find the right nutrients in organ meats. With the daily serving you take in around 185 % of the reference intake of vitamin B12 and 31 % of selenium. Vitamin B12 and selenium contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin B12 also contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Cell protection: selenium and riboflavin

Selenium and riboflavin (vitamin B2) contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Riboflavin also contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. In this bundle, both come mainly from the beef kidney.

Beef kidney used to be a natural part of everyday cooking, in steak and kidney pie or as devilled kidneys; today it hardly ever makes it onto the plate. Yet kidney is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin B12 and selenium. In the Immune Trio, it provides most of the nutrients.

What is in the thyroid capsules?

The capsules contain 20 % thyroid, 50 % kidney and 30 % liver from organic grass-fed cattle. At 2 capsules a day, they mainly add vitamin B12 from kidney and liver to the bundle.

What is colostrum?

Colostrum, also known as beestings or first milk, is the first milk a cow produces after giving birth. It is thicker and richer than later milk. For our capsules we only use colostrum that is left over once the calf has been fed. As colostrum is milk, the bundle contains the allergen milk.

Why freeze-dried?

Freeze-drying removes the water from the raw materials at very low temperatures, without heating them. Heat-sensitive components are largely preserved. What remains is a concentrated powder that keeps well, is neutral in taste and can be dosed precisely.

Quality and origin

Kidney, thyroid, liver and colostrum come from EU-certified organic pasture farming in Estonia, where the cattle are grass-fed rather than given fattening feed. Each capsule contains only the freeze-dried raw material and the beef gelatine capsule shell. In addition, we have the products tested in the laboratory for nutrients and purity (see “Lab analyses & certificates”).

Who is this immune system supplement for?

For anyone who wants to get vitamin B12 and selenium from natural foods without preparing organ meats themselves. The bundle is not suitable for people with a milk allergy. If you take thyroid medication, talk to your doctor first. As the capsule shells are made of beef gelatine, the bundle is not vegetarian.

What nutrients does a daily serving contain?

With 6 kidney capsules, 2 thyroid capsules and 6 colostrum capsules you take in around 4.6 µg vitamin B12 (185 % of the reference intake), 17.3 µg selenium (31 %) and 0.37 mg riboflavin (26 %). You will find all values in the “Nutritional values” section.

What vitamins are good for the immune system?

Several vitamins and minerals play a part, including vitamin B12 and selenium: both contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Selenium also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and vitamin B12 to normal energy-yielding metabolism. In the Immune Trio, both come mainly from the beef kidney.

What is colostrum?

Colostrum is the first milk a cow produces in the hours after giving birth. For our capsules we only use colostrum that is left over once the calf has been fed. It is freeze-dried and filled without additives.

Does the bundle contain milk?

Yes. Colostrum is milk and therefore an allergen. The bundle is not suitable if you have a milk allergy. The kidney and thyroid capsules do not contain milk.

What should I bear in mind with the thyroid capsules?

The capsules contain bovine thyroid tissue. If you take thyroid medication or are under medical treatment for your thyroid, talk to your doctor before taking them. Do not take more than 2 capsules a day.

Is the Immune Trio a medicine?

No. The Immune Trio is a food supplement made from dried foods. It is not intended to prevent, alleviate or treat any disease. If you have health concerns, please consult your doctor.

How long does the bundle last?

At the recommended daily serving, the colostrum lasts 30 days, the kidney 40 days and the thyroid 120 days. You can reorder the kidney and thyroid capsules individually.

Can I take the bundle during pregnancy?

The thyroid capsules contain thyroid tissue and liver. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should therefore talk to their doctor before taking them.
